Public snapshot / observed
20 Amazon best-seller titles checked on the announced rule’s start date.
Nineteen of the visible top 20 titles on Amazon.com’s Home & Kitchen best-seller page were longer than 75 characters when captured after the conservative Pacific-midnight boundary used by this study. This is a current title-length snapshot—not evidence that Amazon penalized, suppressed or edited any listing.

Method
- Source list: the visible top 20 on Amazon.com’s public Home & Kitchen best-seller page.
- Capture time: July 27, 2026 at 3:24 PM China Standard Time. Rule version: Amazon’s June 10 announcement naming July 27 as the start date. Amazon did not name a timezone, so the study waited until midnight Pacific Time.
- Measurement: Unicode string length including spaces. The individual product copy is not republished here; only aggregate lengths are shown.
- Comparison: all 10 visibly matched products from the July 26 baseline remained in the top 10. Seven title strings were unchanged and three changed; one matched title moved from 135 to 64 characters.
What this supports
The visible rule-effective-day sample still had a large gap between storefront title length and the announced threshold. One visibly matched product had already shortened its title below 75 characters.
What this cannot support
Twenty titles from one category do not estimate all-Amazon prevalence, prove an enforcement action, establish seller willingness to pay or predict future search demand.
